Polka-Dot Party!

This is the baby quilt I made for my new baby nephew! The baby's room is decorated in polka dots and I wanted to make something that would work with that theme. I also wanted something that wasn't overly babyish. As I was making this I was really worried about the colors and how they would come together but as you can see the finished project is just fabulous! My favorite part of the quilt are the hand-quilted circles in the center of each green piece.

Jungle Babies Quilt

This quilt was made for my children's music teacher. This was her first baby and I knew the nursery was being decorated with jungle animals. I really wanted to make something that followed with their theme. It was a panel that I tied backwards (I rarely ever tie a quilt) so that the tails were on the back of the quilt. I didn't want to take away from the image. The back of the quilt is a pink polka dot flannel, just perfect for a little girl. It came out much better than I expected of a tied quilt.
